If you’re a Mac user, you’ve more than likely heard of Portland based Panic before. And if you’ve heard of Panic, you’re probably also aware that yesterday they released an update to Transmit, their popular file transfer software. While they do a lot of things (well, pretty much everything) right, I was particularly impressed by the email side of their latest release.

But this is what we seem to have come to. All that Australia’s newspaper of the year is able to offer for its weekly digital page is a trio of six-day-old wire stories.
Remind me again why we’re worrying about the health of our newspapers?

Twitter buys Tweetie →
The app will be renamed Twitter for iPhone. And Loren Brichter – Tweetie’s developer – will also work on an iPad version.
I hope he either continues to work on Tweetie for Mac or they make it ‘Twitter for Mac’. Either way, it could do with an update.
