Steve Jobs demonstrating NeXTSTEP release 3

As I mentioned earlier, the NeXT cube gave birth to the Mac OS that we know and love today.  Take a look at this (long) video of Steve Jobs demonstrating NeXTSTEP release 3.  NeXTSTEP is the OS that ran on NeXT hardware.  Release 3 debuted in 1992.  It’s amazing to see things in this OS that we use every day in Mac OS X… nearly 2 decades later.

It really is amazing how much of todays OS X is still based on NeXT. Wish I was using that instead of Winblows 3.1.
