The new one hundred dollar bill has been thoroughly bashed by the interweb’s design peanut gallery, but Michael Tyznik has stepped up and put together a much nicer concept - as well as designs for most other denominations.
I quite like these. I know the US has a pretty big attachment to the ‘green’, but there’s something to be said for quick identification of a note when they’re all completely different colours. A coloured strip might be a step in the right direction.

It’s been a long time since the design of the Australian notes was updated, but the colour identification is way better than having a whole wallet full of green notes. Plus they’re made out of polymer so they can’t get destroyed if they get wet. And it’s far harder to rip them.
